Tempest is a commissioned print that is located in the
reception area of Alpenglow Acupuncture, LLC in Anchorage.

What is Photographic Art?

I call this Photographic Art as I start with a photograph, then digitally enhance them to my liking. Some stay natural, while others get cleaned up by removing bugs and dead areas, while others get completely transformed.

I print the photograph of canvas or fine art paper using my HP Z3100 44" inkjet printer using 12 pigmented inks which are designed to last over 100 years.

After 24 hours the prints are coated with a special fine art non-yellowing varnish made for the canvas and fine art paper. When they have dried completely, I stretch the canvas prints on wooden stretcher bars or frame the fine art paper.

This process is also known as Giclée which is French for "to squirt, spurt or spray".
